The overall objective of an occupational health and safety (OHS) management system is to provide a framework and process for effective management of OHS risks and opportunities. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) recently released the long-awaited ISO 45001 OHS management system standard, intended to replace the OHSAS 18001:2007 standard. The new standard is structured in accordance with Annex SL so as to facilitate better integration with other new management system standards (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 50001). The time frame for transition from OHSAS 18001 will be three years from publication of the new standard.

This webinar will provide participants with an overview of the new standard and comparison to the OHSAS 18001 standard, and will focus on several of the major enhancements. It is intended for health and safety, environmental and business professionals with responsibility for or involvement in company-wide health and safety management. It will provide a basis on which companies can plan their transition to or implement the ISO 45001 standard.
